JJ & Megan take Best of Breed & A Group 2!
On our way home already … so overcome with emotions… proud of JJ, Megan Hof, Jordan Moore, and Patti Sneed More for all your hard work… What a dream come true. We thank everyone so much for the wonderful support for Team JJ from all our friends and family. Second year in a row he won WESTMINSTER BEST OF BREED and then made the Cut in the Herding Group, but this is the FIRST time ever placing with a WESTMINSTER HERDING GROUP TWO
What a great trip When Rick was watching JJ in the Best of Breed ring in New York, I was watching on my iPhone from Michigan. I told him, ”If JJ wins BOB, I am going to fly in and join the Team to watch groups.” Thanks to Mike & Roseann Bills for dog sitting our pack. We know that was a huge imposition. You are both a fantastic physical and emotional supportive part of Team JJ.
Thank you also to this year’s breed judge Mr. Tom Coen and Group judge Mrs. Sharon Redmer. Thank you also to the Westminster Kennel Club and Superintendents MBF for an amazing 146th Westminster Dog Show.

JJ & Megan take Best of Breed
A very special honorary Best of Breed win at the world famous Westminster Kennel Club dog Show 2021. So glad Rick and I were able to share this wonderful moment in Tarrytown, New York, June 12, 2021. Thank you breed Judge David Kirkland.
What a day! We still do not know how to put into words how we feel. So tremendously blessed. Thank you to all the friends and family who cheered on JJ and Megan, both at the show and world wide!

Our Beginnings
Lake Michigan Aussies
We are Rick & Marcie Boomsliter. We formed Lake Michigan Aussies several years ago when we fell in love with this highly intelligent, versatile breed. We wanted to see other people be blessed by healthy, happy Aussies, just as we have been. We did tons of research and discovered a number of attributes that we wanted to promote the breed.
About the Breed
We learned a tremendous amount about how to handle, show, train and breed these precious dogs.

Our Place
We live in Michigan, near the Great Lake of Michigan. We recently relocated a little over an hour inland in a lovely farming community called Mendon, Michigan.
